Leonie, Elaine, Amanda, Claire and Tim had experience to draw upon as delegates to 2017 Labour Conference and, for Claire, this was her sixth time as a conference delegate. Katie had been our 2019 Women’s Conference delegate and others had experience from union or professional conferences to draw upon, but the scale of Labour Conference, which was attended by 10,000+ visitors over the week, was a brand new experience.

  • #Lab19 references back – posted 22/09/19 – a summary of the references back proposed by Pavilion Labour at #Lab19 giving readers a hint of some CAC shenanigans

Pavilion Labour’s Val Knight moved a series of references back at #Lab19 seeking to remove references to NHS privatisation from the National Policy Forum report

This year our delegates joined together to produce a joint report, which you can read here. It includes the report by our BAME delegate, Leonie Barua, which you can read here. Thanks to Val Knight and Elaine Bewley for editing the joint report, which was written with Leonie Barua, Ty Galvin, Lewis Kranat and Theresa Mackey, with additional personal experiences and short observations provided by delegates Juan Baeza and Claire Wadey. You can read Juan’s comments here and Claire’s comments here.

Separate reports have also been provided by Sandy Kennedy – focussing on the ethical foreign policy issues which had been one of our party’s concerns, and Theresa Mackey, whose report considers concerns of austerity, poverty and inequality. You can read Sandy’s report here and Theresa’s report here.

Thanks to all our delegates who did a great job representing Pavilion Labour at 2019 Labour Conference, as well as our stall volunteers who boosted our fundraising.  The party stall is always a big part of our conference when Labour conference is in Brighton.
