Preston Park Labour

As a result of the 2022 Boundary Review, there is a new Preston Park Branch in Pavilion Labour from 2023.  The old Preston Park branch has been blended with the old Withdean Branch to form our new branch and, most importantly, our campaigning activities are ongoing.

Following Labour’s success in the May 2023 local elections in Brighton and Hove, Preston Park is now represented by one Labour councillor and two Green councillors.  Congratulations to Liz Loughran, who we expect will be a brilliant Labour councillor for our ward.  Read more about Liz here and find our fantastic 2023 Labour manifesto here.

Our commiserations to our other Labour candidates Theresa Mackey and David Messant, who weren’t far off getting elected with Liz, as you can see from the result for Preston Park ward, here.  Get involved with our campaigns to work towards three Labour councillors for Preston Park in 2027!

Preston Park Branch previously covered the neighbourhood all around Preston Park – from Fiveways to Preston Circus, and across to Stanford and Prestonville.  Our new Preston Park Branch includes Stanford, Prestonville, and Preston Park itself (but the Fiveways area is now part of Hollingdean & Fiveways Branch).  Added to this have been the Varndean, Surrenden and Preston Village areas of the old Withdean ward.

Thank you to everyone who gets involved with our campaigns.  Come along to one of our activities soon!
