Your Branch

Brighton Pavilion Constituency Labour Party (CLP) covers the seven council voting districts, or local government wards, of Brighton Pavilion constituency – Hollingbury & Patcham, Preston Park, Hollingdean & Fiveways, Hanover & Elm Grove, Round Hill, Westhill & North Laine and Regency.

Labour Party branches cover all seven neighbourhood wards and we also have branches for groups of members including women members, Young Labour, disabled and chronically sick members, Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) members, older members and LGBT+ members.

Our neighbourhood branches meet across Brighton Pavilion each month.  To connect with your local Branch Labour Party and get involved in our activities, follow the links below.

Split wards

The 2023 local government boundary changes have introduced three “split” wards effecting Brighton Pavilion.  This is where a local government ward covers more than one parliamentary constituency – so is split (or shared) between parliamentary constituencies.  Arrangements for members living in these three wards, partly in Brighton Pavilion, will be developing during 2023:

  • Coldean & Stanmer ward – split between Brighton Pavilion and Brighton Kemptown constituencies.
  • Moulsecoomb & Bevendean ward – split between Brighton Pavilion and Brighton Kemptown constituencies.
  • Westdene & Hove Park ward – split between Brighton Pavilion and Hove constituencies.

Equalities Branches

Our equalities branches usually meet at least quarterly, are open to members from across the Brighton Pavilion constituency and often welcome visiting members from nearby constituencies.  Follow the links below if you are interested in meetings of our Pavilion Labour:

Getting support from local residents

Our branches discuss political ideas, debate current events, campaign on local or national issues, and have fun!  Meetings are open to all Labour Party members and registered or affiliated supporters.  For more details click on your branch name above.

If you need to identify your ward and Branch Labour Party, enter your postcode into the Brighton and Hove City Council website here.  This will also provide you with details of the sitting councillors serving your ward.  At the 2019 local elections, there were two Labour councillors elected in Brighton Pavilion’s Hollingdean and Stanmer ward.

Brighton Pavilion constituency is bordered to the west by Hove & Portslade and to the east by Brighton Kemptown.  From 2023, our new local government wards across Brighton and Hove are as shown below.  NB: This map omits Kemptown’s Meridian district of East Saltdean, Telscombe & Peacehaven which lies beyond Rottingdean and West Saltdean ward.
